 Loss of tyre pressure through puncture or valve failure can be catastrophic when towing a trailer as there may no indication to the driver and eventually a blow out may occur resulting in loss of control and considerable damage to the caravan caused by steel banding of the tyre ripping up floor sections and even impacting on habitation appliances.
Tyrepal TA22 is a safety enhancement product which provides the following: Tyre pressure monitoring of trailer, tow vehicle or motor home. This give the driver sufficient warning of loss of pressure allowing him to safely come to a stop before a blow out occurs.
Tyre temperature monitoring of trailer, tow vehicle, motorhome.
Over tight or binding brakes causes heat generation that can result in a new axle being required in extreme cases. Excessive temperature increase will be detected by the TyrePal and the driver will be alerted and will be able to safely come to a stop. Alert levels are set automatically from target pressures input by the user for each individual wheel and multiple levels of audible and visible alert are provided, depending on the severity of abnormality. Pressure can be displayed in psi, bar or Kpa. Temperature can be ˚C or ˚F. A clear battery warning is shown if batteries are low in either the monitor or sensors. Sensors, 20 x 20 mm (height x diameter), replace standard tyre valve caps and can be secured with anti-theft collars to prevent unauthorised removal. They weigh just 9g, so rebalancing of wheels is not normally required. System frequency: 433.92MHz. Sensor pressure range is 0 to 10 bar (0 to 145psi) with sensitivity better than 0.5 psi and precision ±1psi. Normal operating temperature is -10 to 85˚C. Sensor battery is a replaceable button cell CR1632, life approximately 12 months. Practical transmission range is about 8 metres which can be increased with an optional signal booster, recommended if towing with a distance to rear tyre of more than 7.5metres. Sensors are registered to a specific wheel location during set up and are interchangeable between systems. Additional sensors can be supplied to extend the system to monitor up to 22 wheels. CE and FCC approved |  Monitor 90 x 55 x 23mm, powered by internal rechargeable lithium battery, supplied with charging connector and suction mounting holder. System automatically shuts down when not in use and re-activates as vehicle is used.
